- I bought one of these Chinons and have been very happy with it (for the
- price) The case alone is worth the $39 - If you want a double speed, buy
- both the Panasonic and the Chinon and replace the Chinon with the
- Panasonic, then sell the Chinon -- The Chinon is not SCSI II, but for $39
- I can read Aminet Disks and play some CD32 games. If you do get the
- Chinon, call Chinon and they will send you -- free of charge -- an
- updated ROM, but be warned: Changing the ROMs is not for the faint
- hearted. You have to remove the Logic board from the drive - the drive
- does work well with the old ROMs though.
