  24. I bought one of these Chinons and have been very happy with it (for the 
  25. price)  The case alone is worth the $39 - If you want a double speed, buy 
  26. both the Panasonic and the Chinon and replace the Chinon with the 
  27. Panasonic, then sell the Chinon -- The Chinon is not SCSI II, but for $39 
  28. I can read Aminet Disks and play some CD32 games.  If you do get the 
  29. Chinon, call Chinon and they will send you -- free of charge -- an 
  30. updated ROM, but be warned:  Changing the ROMs is not for the faint 
  31. hearted.  You have to remove the Logic board from the drive - the drive 
  32. does work well with the old ROMs though.
